Getting to grips with Evidence-Based Dermatology 

The Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology holds an annual 'Getting to grips with Evidence-Based Dermatology' course in which a half-day is devoted to introducing the Cochrane Skin Group and a hands-on demonstration of searching the Cochrane Library. The next course will be held from 3rd-5th February 2010 in Nottingham, UK .

Start, welcome and introductions from Hywel Williams:  update of work at the editorial base, RGC (Tina Leonard) still ill with chronic illness-not working for 18 months, but hasn’t yet left the job. Helen (Editorial Assistant) will return from maternity leave in August 2008.  Thanks to Finola & Diane for all their hard work. Methods and processes are now more ‘slick’ and continue to improve.

Hywel brought the meeting to a close with a brief summary saying it was wonderful to see different perspectives and that this years meeting contained a nice range of topics and we have also managed to look at a number of methodological issues. He added that he hoped that people will go away with 2 or 3 points to think on and that next years meeting will be held in Denver, Colorado (2009). Hywel will contact Robert Dellavale for information on date of the meeting.
